Our “Predictive Analytics” group, based in Alpnach, Switzerland is looking for a R&D Engineer in Predictive Analytics.

Mission 

The Industrial Inspection and Predictive Analytics groups develop algorithms for quality and process control, intelligent maintenance and cognitive robotics. The groups are leading projects in many sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, logistics or transportation with tasks at every stage: research, feasibility, prototyping, industrial implementation and deployment

As an R&D engineer, your task is to find and implement the best solutions for diverse industrial problems faced by our clients. You will have to understand quickly the complex industrial processes managed by our clients by collaborating with them. Monitoring the latest publications in machine learning and computer vision, you will be able to suggest and use state-of-the-art methods to carry concrete projects to success. By working on multiple stages of projects across many industries, you will develop quickly your technical and soft skills.

 

Responsabilities

  • Monitoring of the state-of-the-art. 
  • Development of algorithms in quality control, intelligent maintenance and predictive analyitics in all aspects: data preprocessing, model development and testing.Development of concept and laboratory setups.
  • Reporting and presenting results to internal and external audiences.

 

Your profile

Know-how

  • Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Neuroinformatics, Engineering, Robotics or a similar field with focus on Deep Learning for computer vision and time series data
  • Strong background in mathematics and/or statistics for implementation of recent developments in machine learning.
  • Computer vision algorithms
  • Signal processing
  • Advanced programming skills in Python and pyTorch is a must. Experience in C# is a plus
  • Experience with git
  • Knowledge in learning and optimization techniques such as RNN, CNNs, Transformers, GANs, Random Forest, Graphs, Gaussian Processes, Monte-Carlo Tree Search, ...
  • Experience with manufacturing processes is a big plus.
  • Experience with cloud computing (AWS) and front-end design (C#, web design) is a plus.

  • Analytical, organized, team-player.
  • Motivation to bring innovation to success in industry.
  • Fluency in English required, German a big plus
